Brooklyn Rod and Gun – because that void left by Studio 54 just had to be filled

Great piece in the New York Times on the Brooklyn Rod and Gun, a fishing club that brings the riverbank to New York. In London, a place like this would have prohibitive membership fees and thick-set gentlemen minding the doors. In Brooklyn it has burlap sacks over the windows, black waders hanging from the coat stand and three house rules:

“No booze in. No booze out. Throw your peanut shells on the floor.”

Love it already. Don’t miss the slideshow.
