Fishing lodge porn – not for the covetous…

If the resulting article for the Sydney Morning Herald hadn’t included photographs, Max’s reportage might have been bearable but sadly we’re given several visual reminders of the hell through which he’s had to put himself in the interests of travel writing.

Indeed, but for a five-star holiday courtesy of my in-laws 10 years ago, which brought home to me – contrary to all expectation – just how the body can rebel against too much of the good life, Anderson’s opening comments about “five star overload” would have met with a withering response here.

You can Google those lodges not photographed. But I wouldn’t recommend it.
