“…part of a set of decorative images based on the sport of fly fishing. I designed and carved them for a commissioned kitchen backsplash in an Adirondack cabin.
“This 4×4″ handmade tile depicts a creel basket used in the popular sport of fly fishing. Historically, the basket was used to carry the catch of the day, now it’s a very popular Adirondack decorating item. I carved the image in wax and poured a plaster mould. After pressing the mould into soft porcelain clay, I fired it and then glazed in in my walden green, which highlights the details beautifully”
