I’m uncomfortable saying “Dirty cork” to another man

While I share some of Urban Fly Fisher‘s exasperation with the cheesy fishing salutation “tight lines”, I can’t help but think we’re on safer ground with it than with some of the alternatives proposed by both him and FlyFishMagazine.

“Bag up”? “Bent rods”? “Wet indicators”?

“Ragged flies”? “Smelly hands”? “Dirty cork”?!

Wherever it is UFF and FFM happen to live, double entendre is clearly still in its infancy.
